Trees in Winter

During a tree’s lifetime it can witness incredible change happening all around. What can the trees at Strawberry Hill tell us about our local history and the shifting ecology of the forest? How can we tell them apart in the middle of winter? And how do we know exactly how old a tree is? Join us for a learning session like no other! We’ll go on a tree ID hike, discuss local history, explore “witness trees”, and so much more!

Each day will have two sessions - a morning session from 9:30am-12pm and an afternoon session from 1-3:30pm. Families can sign up for morning session, afternoon session, or both! Please note this is not a drop-off program and caregivers must remain on campus with their teens.

$7/person per session To register, click here

*Younger siblings are welcome but please keep in mind that the day's activities are geared toward teens ages 13 and up.

Welcome to Woodlanders, Strawberry Hill's STEAM-focused programs for ages 13+. During these programs teens will explore higher-level environmental science concepts through hands-on learning activities and community cooperation!
