Hibernation Helpers – Winter is coming… Join us as we learn how we can help the creatures who call our backyards home prepare for the changing season! Recommended for ages 5-12

Fox Walking & Reflection Station – There are many ways to experience forest by using all of your senses. Join us for an introduction to fox walking and then enjoy some quiet time at our reflection station!  Recommended for ages 12-adult

Forest Tales & Apple Cider – Join us for storytime by the fire and enjoy some hot apple cider while you’re here! Recommended for all ages

Build Your Burrow – Building your burrow means prepping your space for winter. During this activity, you will be challenged with creating a temperature-stable environment using available materials such as grass, sticks, leaves, etc. Recommended for ages 5-17

Tracks and Scat – There are many ways animals leave evidence of their presence including tracks and scat. Learn about the various tracks you might find in the fall forest! Recommended for ages 5-17

Meet Shelly – Meet Strawberry Hill Animal Ambassador! Learn about what spotted turtles can teach us about our environment and how we can help protect them and the natural spaces we share. Recommended for all ages

Egg Tower Challenge – Keeping eggs safe is extremely important for young animal families. Join us for a STEM challenge to see who can build the tallest (and most stable) egg tower! Recommended for ages 5-17

Build a Fairy House – Embrace the whimsy! Join us for a nature craft as we build fairy houses that you can take home. Recommended for ages 5-10

Monarch Migration – Monarchs have a difficult journey ahead of them as they migrate south in fall. Join us as we discover all the hidden dangers that await them on their way to warmer places. Recommended for ages 5-12

Endangered Species Hike – Passenger pigeons, wolves, and mountain lions once called our forests home. Human interference led to their extinction and extirpation and they’re not the only ones. Join us as we hike our beloved Pennsylvania woods and learn how we can help other species before it’s too late. Recommended for ages 12-adult
