Join Strawberry Hill Foundation as we talk about all things bats! Bats get a bad rap, but they’re incredibly important to our ecosystem! In this program, kids learn about the different types of bats native to our state, challenges facing bat populations, and what we can do to help bats thrive.
This program is part of the Suzanne Metheny Memorial Program Series. A long time staff member at the Thurmont Regional Library, Suzanne passed away in September 2025. This Memorial Series was established by her family and friends to celebrate Suzanne's love of curiosity, learning, and community connection.
