Animal Intelligence

Animals are smarter than we know! Join us for a day of exploring animal intelligence and the unique abilities of some of our more common reptile and amphibian friends. We’ll meet Shelly, Strawberry Hill’s spotted turtle Animal Ambassador. We’ll discuss turtles’ natural abilities to solve problems and maneuver through complicated landscapes. Then we’ll design and build a maze to test Shelly’s intelligence! We’ll also meet Todd, Strawberry Hill’s toad Animal Ambassador to learn all about the mechanics of toads’ movement. We’ll put Todd’s mobility to the test as we design and build an obstacle course for our small friend.

Each day will have two sessions - a morning session from 9:30am-12pm and an afternoon session from 1-3:30pm. Families can sign up for morning session, afternoon session, or both! Please note this is not a drop-off program and caregivers must remain on campus with their teens.

*Younger siblings are welcome but please keep in mind that the day's activities are geared toward teens ages 13 and up.
