Public Programs

Participate in one of our hands-on educational programs offered throughout the year. Programs are geared for all ages, as well as schools and community groups.

Program topics include: Maple Sugaring in the winter, Trail and Preserve Management in the spring and fall; Junior Naturalist Camps in the summer, and monthly guided hikes featuring seasonal themes such as bird watching, frog hunting, and astronomy.

Founded in 1986 to increase public awareness, Strawberry Hill provides educational experiences that strengthen environmental understanding. On every Second Sunday, you and your family can take part in innovative programs that will deepen your appreciation for the natural world. We welcome hikers, walkers, runners, families, school children, teachers, photographers, birders, butterfly-chasers, and nature lovers. The Nature Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weekend times vary with programs)  The Preserve is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk.

We invite you to participate in activities that celebrate the outdoors, such as our Saturday education programs, hiking and bird watching. And if you value what Strawberry Hill offers our community, we hope you will consider becoming a member.
